MONTREAL, Tuesday, June, 21st – From June 29th to July 3rd 2016, about 200 artists, exhibitors and performers will get St-Catherine street more creative than ever ! 18 activities will be proposed within the exhibition-sale, participative experiences, children area and night events.
As a celebration of visual arts, Mtl en Arts festival goes to its 17th edition. During its major exhibition and sale, Mtl Arts gathers emerging artists with recognized artists such as Melsa Montagne, Zoltan Veevaete or Gene Pendon, three notable participating artists from different styles.
In 2016, urban projects are set up to offer festival-goers several immersive and participative activities, joining creation and artists. The festival will propose some challenges that combine creativity and urban dynamism such as customization of furniture by Astro or painting on cars by En Masse collective. X-Ray comes back with a collective mural created on the principle of painting by numbers. A ring for pictural boxing will be the scene of clashes between 16 artists like Tava, Regimental Oneton, Matthew Belval or Jeik Dion. Moreover, 30 international artists such as Loui Jover (Aust.) or DASS (Japan) will exhibit some amazing creative collages at the complex Bourbon.

The tattoo will have its own gallery gathering 10 of the best tattoo artists from Montreal. Finally, the new proposal Deloun brings the festival-goers in a maze of interactive weaving.
In the same time, the festival cultivates the artistic approach for children. My First Exhibition is responsible for initiating artistic creation through workshops conducted by professional artists, and My First Art Gallery Quebecor will allow young visitors to buy their first work of art in an exclusive gallery made for them.

In addition to traditional launching and closing parties, Mtl en Arts marks the event with a special night in partnership with the Fresh Paint Gallery to offer a special Beaux Dégâts evening !
See you on St-Catherine street at the end of June !
